Why We Exist

From our Founder

After more than four decades in aviation — as an engineer, flight tester, regulator and airline leader - I kept seeing the same pattern repeating itself.

Young people were entering aviation full of promise, but they weren’t being prepared for the standards the industry requires.
 
It wasn’t because they lacked talent. It was because the system around them wasn’t joined up.
 
Aviation Generation was created to close that gap - to bring industry and education together so the next generation enters aviation with confidence, readiness and a clear sense of where they can belong.
 
What we build is simple: routes that reflect real aviation discipline, safety culture and problem-solving.
When an airline, airport or aviation organisation recruits, they should draw from a pipeline shaped by industry — ready to perform from day one.

What We're Building Together

 

As global aviation rebuilds and evolves, there is a growing opportunity to work more closely together - bringing consistency, clarity and momentum to how we prepare people for technical, operational and sustainability-focused roles.

Through collaboration with employers, colleges, training providers, and awarding bodies, Aviation Generation helps convene that alignment - strengthening the system through clearer requirements, richer learning experiences, and approaches that reflect real industry needs.
 
Among the practical steps already underway are our Tier 1 Pathways - in Aviation Operations, Aviation Engineering, and Aviation & Environmental Sustainability.

Developed with partner colleges and major employers, they represent one example of what aligned, industry-shaped education can look like in practice, offering a shared foundation for learners aged 16–18 and helping build momentum across the wider ecosystem.
 
Together with our Advisory Board of global aviation leaders, we are working towards a ore connected aviation talent - one where education and industry move in step, giving every learner the chance to enter aviation equipped, inspired and ready to contribute.
